I’m promoting my cosmology-and-cartoons bedside-table book, Is The Sex Really Great In Heaven? the first 3 chapters of which are included here. The message, basically, is: Nobody knows for sure where we came from, but it’s highly unlikely that we’re going anywhere. (As in, some sort of afterlife.) So why not work on the right-here, right-now? And maybe try to be grateful for what we’ve got? Which, for most of us, is a helluva lot.
One guideline: If there’s one thing I learned as a student (and I really do have a degree in philosophy), it’s that if you lock yourself in your room and wrestle with deep metaphysical questions for too long, you can get really depressed. So I’d like to avoid the heaviosity. Think of this site as decidedly anti-rant, anti-anguish. Life’s too short. It’s great, but it’s short.

I’m now working a new book, The Time To Decide. The idea: If we could go back in time, and start “civilization” all over– knowing what we know now– what would we do differently? A thought experiment. And, as with the first book: thoughtful storytelling. The whole of this book is being serialized here, as it is written.
And, for what it’s worth, I’m toying with a graphic-novel idea called Billy Builds A Solar System! I don’t know whether I’ll ever talk Steve Morrison into illustrationing it, but you can check in occasionally to see how the writing part’s coming.
